Mark_
Cole must be on his road trip or I'm sure he would have something to say about this machine that he just finished learning to fly on going down. If it was a student, then like Rob says....good training=good outcome. Mark
3BX2
My sources said that it was a good safe auto to a road, but the aircraft tipped over after landing

User Name: Samson, Donna Date: 2008/02/12 Further Action Required: Yes O.P.I.: Maintenance & Manufacturing Narrative: UPDATE / Add Info from TSB: A08P0036: The Schweitzer 269C helicopter, operated by Kootenay Valley Helicopters Ltd., developed a gradual loss of engine power while en route. The engine did not stop but rotor RPM could not be maintained and an autorotation landing was made into deep snow. The pilot (sole occupant) was able to make a Mayday transmission during the descent. The helicopter yawed and rolled upon touchdown and was substantially damaged. There was no fire and there were no injuries. The ELT activated and was subsequently turned off when a pilot of another helicopter in the area who had heard the Mayday call arrived shortly afterward. (OPI changed to Maintenance & Manufacturing) Please note that for the most part, CADORS reports contain preliminary, unconfirmed data which can be subject to change.
