RDM Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Wonder if anyone can offer me a little help. Did Weyerhaeuser once operate a S76 on the West Coast. What Model A B C / + /++ Would anyone have a name of one of the drivers who would have flown for them. PM would be fine on the name or any contact info on someone who may have worked with them. thanks, Ronnie Quote
Outwest Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 They did indeed operate a 76, a 76C+ which was sold to CHC a while back. The previous company, MB operated a 76A. Doug Hare was the big cheese there. Gerry Flowers was one of the pilots. Quote
RDM Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 Thank you sir! If a fella wanted to speak with Mr. Hare or a Mr. Flowers where would they be found? BTW Outwest, any idea when they shut down their operation with the 76? Quote
Outwest Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Hi RDM, Well, as my memory is getting worse by the day, I think it was at least 2 years ago that they sold the 76. Doug Hare is now in charge of the company that emerged after Weyerhaeuser and Timber West split the sheets. It has gone thru numerous names but I think it is now called Strathcona Helicopters, based in Qualicum Beach BC. 250-951-2430 Gerry Flowers is retired and living (last I heard) in Vancouver, actually I think maybe Richmond. Anyway, I'm sure Doug Hare will be able to answer all your questions with a lot more accuracy than me. Cheers Quote
RDM Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 Where is the big red "THAT WAS EASY" button Thank you again, sir, I will now move on to badgering Mr. Hare with the rest of my queries. regards, Ronnie Quote
skinny Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Doug Hare is not with Strathcona any longer. He is currently with Weyerhaeuser and their operations out of Seattle. Quote
Outwest Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Well there ya go......as usual things happen fast in this business.........regardless, i'm sure someone at Strathcona will have your answers. Cheers Quote
