Never heard about the TRK thing. I empathise as I almost had that happen 4 days ago. Moving drill bits and the lanyard below the remote hook broke at 80kts with a 1900lb load. Longline bounced up VERY close to the tailrotor but managed to avoid it. The ticker took a beating on that one.

Hope for positive news from Sask.

Good time to remind ourselves to be diligent with our safety procedures (ops or maintenance). I would never wish an accident/incident on anyone and I hope all involved in the above mentioned scenarios are doing as well as can be expected.

I hope this comment isn't taken out of context but I'd rather learn from someone else's mistake any day...be careful out there....starting to remind me of last year a little. A good reminder to refocus and not get lazy.

Best wishes to all those involved, (and a speedy recovery too.)

Ive heard there were 6 helicopters down in the last week. Not sure of any details except

Black Tusk 214 was definately one. T/R drive issue. (rumour has it) The pilot is beat up with a few broken bones but still on the right side of the daisies. Co-pilot faired better. I think the A/C is written off unless the data plate survived.

I wish all of you guys speedy recovery!!!!!!!!!!
