highbladedown Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 G'day, Looking for an STC and STC # that will allow the installation of quick disconnect pip pins to secure the fwd rear passenger seat bottom legs to the floor in lieu of the standard camlocks, P/N NSA 55133-105 and P/N NSA 55171-002 receptacle. I was told there was one in circulation, however I am unable to locate it. Thx........ hbd Quote
new guy Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 i don't know of any stc for quick disconnect pins, but all ower machines use the wing nut camlock. i know they are farely quick and they stay with the machine. Quote
highbladedown Posted June 5, 2007 Author Report Posted June 5, 2007 Thanks for the info, greatly appreciated! I was told there was an approved kit, I spoke with EC and they told me the same thing as you. I thought I would investigate. Thanks again, hbd Quote
Fenestron Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 i even looked for you but came up empty handed as well. I only vaguely remember seeing a machine or two that had them. in my opinion they weren't any more convenient than the regular camlocks. Quote
Hazy Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 So...Is the machine still grounded or are you going to let it fly again? Quote
highbladedown Posted June 6, 2007 Author Report Posted June 6, 2007 I was only looking for this STC to replace the camlocks. Like Fenestron mentioned he had heard of one as well, so did I. I just don't have a reference or approval #. hbd Quote

Unfortunately, the site does not list the full contents of the STC.And I couldn't find it anywhere else. You may know a route to open it up and read its' contents STC # is SH5119NM - Installation of Modified Rear Bench Seat. Geneva Aviation owns the STC. Cheers BR Quote
ray Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 That STC for the modified bench seat is for a shorter bench. Quote
