Was driving through Ft Nelly yesterday.....and yes the place still sucks.......but aside from that, i saw a "Dominion Helicopters" sign on the hangar at the north end of town on the highway. Is this a new name since they were bought out?.......or is this a new company moved into that hangar? Wasn't sure what was going on....any ideas? Thanks Quote
Jammed left Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Ya...not bought out...the deal was cancelled. Couldn't say for sure, but i think Dominion Helicopters is a mix of a local businessman and some of the folks that spent time in Ft. Nelson with VIH.. could be wrong though Quote
picapart Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 the main owner is the the guy who owns the woodlands and he owned the hanger that was leased to vih. I would guess to say is that he had a better offer . Quote

The base manager changed hats and stayed in town. VIH pulled out completely. VIH was considering building a hangar at the airport but thats the last I heard of it. This was all about a year ago now.
