Tracking An Old B206 A

Further to C-FFKR. I am the son of the owner of Iroquios Helicopters. I fly for Canadian Helicopters. C-FFKR burned in a hangar fire beside Carp Airport back in the seventies, I forget exactly the time and date. Would have to do some searching on that one. I got a lot of stick time in Ireland on FKR in 67,68,69 before I came back to Canada to train with Viking Helicopters. She was a nice old bird, of course new when I flew it. I know I have pictures of it here. I was looking at them a few weeks ago. Maybe I could e-mail you some or post them here.

Hi Guys, thanks to everyone who helped get all this information, I know its not great news that she is no longer flying but at least I know what happened. 1 more task for all you great researchers, would there be any chance that the data plate could be found. I always have hope. Cheers Lads

Pssst. Mr. Dewey. No idea about Border, but I only want a photograph of one particular dataplate. For personal reasons. Memorabilia or memento, if you will.

If you had the the data plate the m/c can be rebuilt using the same s/n,

I forgot to mention that there was another m/c B206 B2, Irish reg EI AYP, Canadian reg C GOEV s/n 1294. Anyone got any info on this one, This is the last one, I promise. Thanks

I have fond memories. My first helicopter ride, Shannon Airport to Dublin, Ireland. Cross country over castles, peat bog, and green green landscapes............ the Emerald Isle.

 

Unfortunately, it met it's demise in the same fire that took FKR to helicopter heaven. I don't know if you're interested in the fiery remains of a toobox. It still, sometimes, reminds me of OEV and FKR.

Hmmmm..... The Transport Canada site shows it being struck off registry in 1991 and it pops up on other sites as N8264C (same S/N) owned by C & C Helicopter Sales in Delaware I think.

 

Perhaps they salvaged something ??
