can anyone recommend any plug-in cell phone adapters for use with helicopter headsets? i've heard of safety cell and bluesky (but can't find them on the web). thanks in advance.

I bought the safety cell a few weeks ago and works well. The folks at the other end could hear me quit well. Its worth the money.

And it doesn't look like the unit that is pictured. Its a lot nicer. It has 3 black cords coming out of a black retangular plastic box about 1" x 5".

I ordered one of these a few weeks ago. Back ordered two weeks. Should be here any day now.

I will let you know how it works. Apparently it has its own volume, cd or mp3 adapter.

Brutal.

Looking at the links provided, they want around $190 US for those units for helicopters.

That's outrageous. It's just wires, for cripes sake. What a rip-off.

Just wires? Try 20,000 bucks for a radio next time.

Shaggy,

I received my Cell Set the other day. Works great. A tad on the expensive side. $389 usd.

Model #H9B HDT

Included:

volume control

12 or 24 vdc adapter

2mm plug for cell phone

cd, mp3 or ipod cable

9volt battery

1 year warranty

It took two weeks to get here as they promised.

Cheers
