It was an amazing feat! Be a while before any Bell product does something like that!!!

It was classified as an experimental aircraft anyways, so Eurocpter can do what they may!

Theoretically being able to do something doesn't equal just doing it.

There is no higher ground to land on, Eurocopter rocks!

Bell's going to have to go land on another planet to beat that! Ha Ha

actually, eurocopter holds the record for the highest "take-off" NOT landing, so that is still up for grabs, if your permits are in place :punk:

Bell can still beat the highest TAKE-OFF by putting a helicopter on a platform atop a balloon, getting to height, then "take-off" to beat eurocopters record

I'll be watching the N1 on that  , Opps just a little too much fuel.

It'l never happen, until there is a commercial requirement and plenty of it to fund the development of such an AC.

LAMA still rules in my books for simplicity durability, Can buy 3 for the price of a B3 or is that 4.? Cost of parts are another issue.
