Skidz Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Cap - would appreciate knowing more about Bob's sixth sense on that day and what he felt - I've introduced intuition it on my CRM/PDM courses and it goes down very well - good examples are always useful! Anyone else with any good intuition examples is also welcome to join in! Phil I remember reading a story about the whole affair a few years back. Can't remember if it was in Reader's Digest or if it was a book in itself, but I'm sure Cap's neighbor must have it tucked away somewhere's... Quote
cap Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Albert Ross --------other than on one occasion shortly after the incident, Bob and I never really got into any coversation concerning any "sixth sense" on his part. The closest he ever came to it was to say that once the engines died, his 160 Ton "state-of-the-art" a/c was now a "flying brick" and he had little time to make choices on an a/c that he still didn't have that much experience on. He said with a straight-face that they had forgotten to give him any Sim time on gliding a 767 so gliding one was a bit new to him. I mentioned though that he now qualified to land COLUMBIA when she landed from space travel. His reply?........."Ya know, that still amazes me how they can land that thing dead-stick". Quote
