You gotta hand it to HTS. Luc always had a chummy and fruitful relationship with any government of the time. Can we expect passenger transport in the UH60 next summer? Initial attack on fires? Let the floodgates open.

Transport Canada  Internal Process Bulletin 2024-02, release May 29/24 addressed to ALL civil aviation Inspectors - airworthiness and operations.


“The IPB introduces a slate of Operating Conditions associated with SCOA-L aircraft.”

“These Operating Conditions, contained in Appendix
A of this IPB, are more restrictive than the Operating Conditions currently published in TCCA exemption NCR-002-2022 and TCCA AC 507-001”

Current commercial operators are to be advised of
the imposition of replacement Operating Conditions
as and when those Conditions are determined to be required in accordance with CAR section 507.09.”

“Part IIa: Conditions applicable to all Special Certificate of Airworthiness - Limited aircraft to be operated or intended to be operated in accordance with CAR 702, Aerial Work.”

“19 During performance of aerial work pursuant to Subpart 702 of the CARs no persons may be onboard other than essential flight crew members and flight crew trainees”

Seems pretty clear to me. Make what you want of it. 

Actually condition 20 confused me, still.

it appears to me that condition 20 was written by someone who doesn’t understand the 702 CARs requirements, but I’m not even going there at the moment. I’m sure we’ll get to that in due time.

How else would you transport a team of officers in the event of a mass breach in border security?  R22s aren’t produced anymore for a reason.
