Yeezy Posted July 1, 2023 Report Posted July 1, 2023 I read that it is in BC but not sure about the other provinces and territories? Quote
freck Posted July 1, 2023 Report Posted July 1, 2023 If it is then the company would have to supply it. So I'm going with no. Quote
slingdog Posted July 2, 2023 Report Posted July 2, 2023 Yeezy you are correct. As per the 2023 BC Wildfire Service Pilot Information Guide. P.10 section 1.4 Pilot requirements-Rotary wing "Rotary wing pilots are required to wear aviation flight helmets during all flight operations.Additionally, rotary wing pilots are also required to wear aviation personal flotation devices (PFDs) during all over water operations (bucketing and tanking) and during flights beyond glide distance from shore" Can't speak to other provinces but if you're unsure, I recommend brushing up on the latest regs of said area. I'm not saying everyone is in total compliance, just answering you're question. Quote

They might on paper but the sad reality is, its been the clients, consultants and insurance companies deciding how its gonna happen for some time now.Just like minimum hour requirements on type, BARS audits etc etc etc. Quote
