messi
how hard is it to get a job at alpine in canmore???
Ryan
A flying job...next to impossible. Great company with many experienced pilots there for the long haul. Plus almost everyone wants to fly with them so they have some very good resumes to pick from if they ever need a new face.

Ryan
I've heard it is possible for a guy to get from the ramp to the left seat at Alpine, but no guarantees. Like any company, be prepared to be one the ramp for a few years at least too. As for how long you work the ground before flying, depends on the company and luck. Expect at least a year, and as much as 5 on the ramp before getting to the flight line.

Ryan
Well at least one of their "old timers" is a regular poster here, so you can hear all about it from him.
407 Driver
"Old Timer" surely that was not directed toward me Ryan? I don't know exactly what they do in Canmore, but it looks to me like the 14 +/- ground crew are all canadians, At least they look and speak like canadians, Eh? well maybe one Aussie or Kiwi? but last time I checked Mate, you don't actually need Kiwi translators? They do have some 100 hr types working on the ground there, but there are NO guarateed flight seats, even in you stay 3 or more years. The best way to find out is dial 1-403-678-4802 and ask, or email canmore@alpinehelicopter.com

407 Driver
Yes RDM, with the price of Gas, we've decided to ride a motorcycle AND carpool, very economical. MAG, sheep generally have a limited budget, so I assume she's smiling 'cause she's saving so much money. The exception is this sheep (pictured below, but she's one of them professional "ewe's of the evening".
