drkrider Posted April 5, 2023 Report Posted April 5, 2023 I was down at HAI last month and saw there are several manufacturers of Lithium Ion aircraft batteries. Has any one used them in the field? from my research they need to be above a certain temperature to safely charge so most incorporate an internal heater. How long can you leave with out charging before they drain them selves to a critical level? Thanks Quote
HeliWrench9 Posted April 6, 2023 Report Posted April 6, 2023 We have run a True Blue in our 350 for 2 seasons. No issues whatsoever. Quote

When i was there we had Tesla batteries in a couple of the machines. Amazing starting power, and self heating and self charging. no convoluted cords or multiples, just 1 110 straight into the ship to power everything. Quote
