There’s always drama during fires (regardless of province), this isn’t a new phenomenon in Canadas utility market.  I agree,  best price usually wins.

Saw an owner/chief pilot sent packing off a SK fireline 20 years ago. Kept flying well above I/A patrol altitude to try get cell phone signal. I believe the machine reg. ended in GK. 😉

Getting sent packing in SK would be the equivalent of winning the lottery.

That would also apply to Alberta and the last time I worked for OMNR...they were going down the Alberta trail!!!!
