Actuality Posted October 8, 2020 Report Posted October 8, 2020 With a bust fire season and covid ruining everything else, where do you think we’re headed? Any thoughts, opinions or insight on what the future holds? Quote
shakey Posted October 9, 2020 Report Posted October 9, 2020 Low pay, bad schedule, sociopathic owners reminding you of their stack of resumes. So no real change at all. 5 1 Quote

vortex Posted October 9, 2020 Report Posted October 9, 2020 There's currently more helicopters and operators then there is work. The herd is going to get smaller for a while... The banks will do the culling. 2 Quote
helimat Posted October 9, 2020 Report Posted October 9, 2020 Some operators will look at this as an opportunity to get people who are desperate for work to move to the sticks, so they don't have to shell out for flights etc 2 Quote

Third_Left_Eye Posted October 9, 2020 Report Posted October 9, 2020 There's something to be said about not having all your eggs in the "fire season" basket. It might actually as a wake up call for some operators that they need to diversify their work a bit. Reminds me of when oil and gas prices plummeted. Quote

Dunno who you're working for but the guys I'm with have never even hinted at something like that. Schedule has been pretty solid and pay is always on time. Quote
