atari Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 I'm sure many Canadian AME's in this forum have overseas experience. Europe is out of the question because of lengthy licensing conversion (if anyone has done the exams please fill me in). My question is, where is a good place to go as a Canadian licensed AME with decent tours and fair wage? the Emirates? Africa? PNG?? Thanks EDIT: I understand the current world situation with Covid, but this is for a longer term plan. Quote
Bee3 Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 PNG have a lot of Canadian AME's. Good place to go.....mmmmm depends. But its 4/4 and the AME's get paid more than the pilots 🤣 1 Quote
atari Posted June 7, 2020 Author Report Posted June 7, 2020 Yes I heard PNG could be good depending on company/location? Is the money that good though to go that far? anyone with experience in the Middle East or Africa? Quote
Rotorhead139 Posted June 26, 2020 Report Posted June 26, 2020 I worked in Africa(Nigeria,Mozambique, Gabon, South Africa as well as Abu Dhabi and also Kazakhstan. Pay was good and the rotations were either 4/4 or 6/6 depending on where the work was and which company i was with in Africa The rotation in Abu Dhabi was 8/4 but the money was still good. Most of the work was 212/412/AW139. Quote
