liquidwrench
Hoping someone could shed some light on this for me I know there is a differences maintenance training course for a 212 to 412 endorsement, however is one needed from 412 to 212 I have been told that it is not needed by some and others say you do need it. I know on my 412 course the instructor covered the differences and there is some information in the training manual. Any info would be good info. Heliian
Technically, since the 212 and 412 share the same type certificate number, a certified training course on either would meet the legal requirements for signing either out. In this case, experience should dictate whether your company will give an ACA for the specific aircraft type. Most company manuals have a 6 month experience requirement for an ACA on type.
DGP
Back in the days before M1 and M2....I wrote the 204 exams and I got 204/205/212 and 412 on the license ....the 214 was a separate endorsement...
DGP
Lots of differences on them all and they..TC said you probably wouldn't sign any of them out if you didn't have a course.

Talk to your course provider about which ones they have as it varies and many of them have multiple certifications nowadays.
helimat
Last I checked Bell offered a 412 to 212 differences course. Edit; There is a TC approved one being held at the Fort Worth Facility August of this year.
