I know it's not strictly Aviation related this one but I just wondered if anyone knew about them as I've got an interview with them at the start of april.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many years ago, I had an interview with them in the UK and what they seemd to focus on mainly was materials structure of the hot end rotating components.

There was all of the general theory questions about turbine principles and the associated physics laws which you should have no problem with. The in depth part concerned turbine blades, wheels, cans, airflow, alloys, lost wax and single crystal development, heat treatment etc. I would imagine that more than 30 years later and they way industrial turbines have developed, they would be more apt to concentrate on turbine operations knowledge, repair and associated systems, ie; pumps, electrical components etc.

Good luck to you.

The reason I didn't go for it in the end was that it was during my pisshead days and the time offshore interfered with my requirement to be propping up a bar somewhere or alternatively, having the bar prop me up.
