chopperman
I just talked to a friend with ties to Tasman and they did roll a machine over but thankfully no one was hurt, no other details at this time.

chopperman
He never said where it was, he was driving at the time so it wasn't a long conversation.

Helilog56
the 212 had picked up 9 people on a glacier at the 6,000 ft level. The pilot turned downslope to low and slow and contacted the suface at a high rate of descent. Weather conditions were clear and sunny skies and moderate winds. No on was hurt (thankfully), but the aircraft received substantial damage. Just a reminder to us all of the hazards associated with mountain flying and how we can not "drop our guard" on even the most pleasant of weather days...... Winnie
They wrecked another of my favourite birds, but man am I ever happy that everyone walked away. Hope it was not a long walk home.
jetbox
Well that's OK, no one got hurt! Our insurance rates were too low anyways, I can't wait for them to skyrocket again!
jetbox
That's called sarcasm by the way, for those of you devoid of a sense humour!
Skidz
He never said where it was, he was driving at the time so it wasn't a long conversation. Driving what ? I hope he wasn't in the process of turning downslope and... Oh never mind... Before anyone slams me, I felt humour was ok, seeing as only metal got bent this time...
