Occurrence Summary Date: 2014-07-22 Further Action Required: No O.P.I.: Narrative: Aviation Incident Report: An Allied Wings Bell 206B Jet Ranger (C-FTHB) reported a bird strike 5 miles to the east of Portage La Prairie/ Southport, MB (CYPG), and landed safely in the training area. A maintenance crew went out to inspect the possible damage and the helicopter was eventually flown back to the airport. No impact on flying operations and no further actions taken by Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Flight Safety department may investigate further.
Date: 2014-10-29 Further Action Required: No O.P.I.: Narrative: Update Aerodrome Safety: This incident is being handle in accordance with the Portage La Prairie / Southport Airport’s Safety Management System as well as the Airport’s Wildlife Management Plan. This incident has been passed to the Wildlife Manager.
