Can anyone shed any light on the rumours of a 212 incident near Blue River in the last couple of days.

Have some friends working over there. Good Company, Good machines and some of the best Pilots I know flying in pretty rugged terrain. Hope all are OK.

Everyone OK, 212 lost power heading to the bottom, after dropping off skiers at the top - only the pilot on board, one of the most experienced 212 driver at Wiegele's - did a great job putting it down and walked away - it's a bit twisted and was slung out.

Excellent job!

Hey Nomex,

Curious what you meant by, "lost power."

Single engine failure, dual engine failure etc...

I don't have any steam chicken time but would hope that even in the valleys with no one onboard that you could keep it flogging around single engine if you have some airspeed and or altitude. How does it perform single engine?

Gawd, I hate it when that happens. You just can't get many hours out of those Warp-drive-sensors anymore, must be a manufacturing defect or bad batch or something.

Good news about the pilot (GC?) being OK, that's all that matters.

Be safe out there...fly low and slow, and throttle back in the turns !
