putz Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 Not wanting to start rumours just looking for info. According to Cadors this morning the Coastal Fire center reported that a Kamov had crashed??? Anyone verify, got some friends there! 8 Quote
R0T0R Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I hope the crew both on the ground and in the machine are safe and in good health. Safe flying to all as we wrap up the difficult season. R Quote
ThreePer Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I heard they both got out. Machine went into a lake up valley from Bella Coola. Quote
Juliet Lima November Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I can confirm an incident did occur involving a ka32 over the weekend. This was essentially a hard landing in difficult terrain but both pilots are uninjured. Initial assessment indicates that this was an isolated incident, and a complete investigation is underway. pilot5 Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 Have a friend that flies that ship! Glad the crew is fine. Built like a brick crapper cabin, and cockpit made with crew survivabilty in mind. Can't say the same for some of the EC and Bell products. Good news! thanks for the update JLN. Quote
Helilog56 Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 Without a doubt, the most important thing here, is the crew are going home to their families....a happy ending 11 Quote

Skidz Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Perhaps a matter of perspective, but that 206 looks so puny beside the Kamov... Quote
