Not sure where you work but the mid west coast has a lot of bears. In a down and out scenario having a firearm could be the difference between life or death.

"permit to carry" implies a concealed pistol carried on you body, not a survival rifle or shotgun in the baggage compartment.

Permit to carry is not a concealed pistol. It is open carry, revolver .357 or larger revolver.

I don't know if I read this right but my understanding is the pilot held a hover in a R44 while untrained personal literally scrambled up the rope into the machine all under, what I consider extreme duress! He didn't crash. If he is private someone should pay for the rest of his commercial license....If he already holds a commercial license he is probably due a few endorsements and optimum employment opportunities. Good on ya buddy!
