The time has come for a new windshield on our B2. I've talked to Tech-Tools and Eurocopter about their products. Eurocopter gave me a cheeper quote by about $250 per side. Anybody know any other dealers for western Canada? Can anyone recommend Tech or EC?

I've installed both in the past, can't really say one is better than the other. Are you saying Eurocopter actually has them in stock?? Wow! Amazing!

ECL has a new windshield that as you found out, is cheaper than Tech Tools. (Get the 2 piece.)

They are both very nice.

If I can make a suggestion:

Before you put the single sided tape on the inside edge of the windshield, tape it off 1", and scuff it with scotch brite. Then spray bomb that 1" scuffed area with flat black.

The reason being, when you put tape on the inside, you won't see any air bubbles on the tape through the paint. The finished product looks exceptional.

The one from tech-tool come with titanium screw and the one from aeronautical accessories come with standard cadmium plated screw.

Huh? Since when does Tech Tools supply the titanium hardware? By the time the dust settles it's over $1000 just for the screws and special washers.

I believe what he meant is that Tech-Tools reuses the black screws but with a different washer and bushing arrangement, AAI calls for cad plated screws.
