jullian Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Any thoughts on B3 B3e or B2? Differences on payload or operating limitations? Thanks. 1 Quote
Batiskaf Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 If you are looking at the same B2 performance but want larger cab and FADEC like technology, the EC 130 are becoming available cheaper than the B3e. Quote
jullian Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 I'm looking more for lifting ability in sea level and or high density altitude performance. Quote
jullian Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 Let me rephrase this, What will it lift on a standard day on a 100ft line ? With 30 Percent fuel ? 1 Quote
Three_Per Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 For external loads, going with a standard B3, single hydraulic, will get you the best performance. Stay away from the "e" until they have sorted out the problem with the new T/R design. Quote
Heliduck Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Any current operators have an update on the tail rotor or any other issues? How has it affected your operation? We have 4 x B3e's on order with delivery starting in 2014, I'm hoping any issues are resolved by then! Quote
Batiskaf Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 From what I understand, Eurocopter is working on a temporary fix (yaw anticipator) so that VNE returns to "normal" this temporary solution will give Eurocopter time to introduce a permanent solution that might encompass a new TR. Quote
