Anybody out there have any info / confirmation that Bailey Helicopters suffered an engine failure in a Bell Long Ranger in the Fort Nelson area this week? There's nothing in the press about it. Brock_Landers Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Narrative: JRCC Victoria has reported that on October 18 at 00:00Z/17:00PDT, a 406 ELT was activated when a Bailey Helicopters C-FBHV, a Bell 406 helicopter with 2 persons on board, overturned in water in north eastern British Columbia (593728N 1203909W). The 2 persons on board were unhurt. The company reportedly dealt with the situation and no SAR resources were required. TSB advised. Quote
KnuckleDragger Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 BHV is a long ranger. Engine failure was on approach. Successful autorotation carried out onto gravel bar. Pilot and passenger walked away from machine under their own power with no injuries. Machine did not overturn. 5 Quote
