Zazu Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Hellilogg 56 Having spent years as a "hook" I have to say that I have a professional dislike for anything with mirrors as I think that I would have had a serious problem with 400 lb hook, chokers, footing, giving the bird to pilot, and having pilot understand what I was saying to him while calmly acknowledging wisdom of said pilot's solution to problem on radio that resulted in bird in first place. Run sentence or what! That said, where you working now 56 and on what, need some new "old " war stories just to remind me that flying is way better than a cup of cedar saw dust up up my you know what everyday. Good luck in the new year all, Zazu Quote
Helilog56 Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Hey Zazu...put a reply in the wrong thread (helicopter fatal). " Sigh"...I guess that's what happens when you get old and try to do things from memory anyways I did PM you....Cheers Quote

407 Driver Posted January 4, 2005 Author Report Posted January 4, 2005 MAG, The "maintenance" they talk of is maintenance on the fishing equipment and/or the Lodge laundry facilities, the "Astar" is virtually a maintenance free aircraft Quote
jetbox Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 the "Astar" is virtually a maintenance free aircraft That's right and don't forget it!! Besides, I'd rather work on a washing machine than on a LongRanger/407 any day!! Quote
407 Driver Posted January 4, 2005 Author Report Posted January 4, 2005 Ya Ya Ya we know all about it Jetbox, or should we call you Chatterbox? Why don't you go and tune your hammers or something on the Astar then change the pump on the washing machine  ...then maybe install a new green drive belt on each .. rumor is it's the same P/N anyway Quote
