Harmonic_Vibe Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Now that I have your attention... Let's face it... There is almost nothing left undone in this world. But the great mystery of the arctic is still out there. John Franklin died and was buried about 150 years ago and no one has ever found his grave or the ships he led to their destruction. Whoever finds him, somewhere around King William Island is going to be famous and be in InTouch Magazine with the Kardashians!! This could be you... But first you have to get up here and go out and move drills amongst the only true frontier left in Canada. If you have the skills and experience to crew a well maintained machine and be well paid doing it then what are you waiting for? The Erebus and the Terror are in fairly shallow water somewhere waiting to be found. Musk Oxen wander around tripping over artifacts left by the crew. Narwhals swim over the wrecks almost every day. Towering cliffs rise from the water and old Inuit whaling camps abound. Breathtaking doesn't even begin to cut it. If you think flying back and forth from Victoria to Vancouver is a dream job then there will be no glory for you. If standing by to go medevac somebody from the scene of a car accident is something you'd find exciting then you stay home too. If, however, you would have answered Ernest Shackleton's famous advertisement from his 1915 expedition to the Antarctic, "MEN WANTED FOR HAZARDOUS JOURNEY. SMALL WAGES, BITTER COLD, LONG MONTHS OF COMPLETE DARKNESS, CONSTANT DANGER, SAFE RETURN DOUBTFUL. HONOR AND RECOGNITION IN CASE OF SUCCESS", then you need to come crew an aircraft for the largest and most reputable company in the Canadian North! HV Of course I am referring to Great Slave Helicopters of Yellowknife, and various other locales around the World, with more to come. 2 Quote
WTF_was_that Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Hahahaha.... "MEN WANTED FOR HAZARDOUS JOURNEY. SMALL WAGES, BITTER COLD, LONG MONTHS OF COMPLETE DARKNESS, CONSTANT DANGER, SAFE RETURN DOUBTFUL. HONOR AND RECOGNITION IN CASE OF SUCCESS", Translated that reads.. If your going to be Slave, you may as well be a Great Slave Quote
Elvis Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 If any Great Slave pilot finds it my guess would be A.L. McK Quote
