Guest Bullet Remington Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Twinnie: You Sir are absolutely correct!! Excuse me while I pull my foot out of my mouth!!! Apologies to all the Alpine and Tasman people.!! BR Quote
407 Driver Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 AARGH Pheeew what a comment ! Don't confuse me with those Tasman basteges... Let it be known that I have publically offered those swine unlimited FREE BEER and they have not yet partaken. Probably sitting up in the Heli Shack drinking wine coolers (with little umbrella's in the glass) ! Quote
Guest jesse Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Just got my calendar today thanks Heli ops Quote
GoldMember Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Whatsamatta 407, cabin fever? Quote
407 Driver Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Nope, just poking fun at the neighbors. Good bunch of guys ! I charged (hosed royally actually ) a small CYXC company a case of beer a day to use the hangar over the last week+ (@-30c), so have a huge glut of free beer to give away...and I can't even make a dent in the pile Quote
407 Driver Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Better be quick, we're down to 8 cases. There's a Great Slave crew weathered in here, they killed a lot the other night. A few more days with this road closure, we;ll be getting low again. The invite is even open to "Sofa King" if he can get his maintenance done on old Ice encrusted Astars ! Quote
Guest Bullet Remington Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Maggie: Not sure if either company was insulted. Again the statement was made "tongue-in-cheek". However, I have learned that tonal inflection cannot be recognized by some on this form (no personal slight intended) so, I felt that I'd cover both companies at the same time. Don't believe I've ever met nor worked with anybody from either company, therefore I can't honestly make a negative nor positive statement about either company. I did however, try to get into and apply at the Alpine Hanger in YYC several eons ago, before I went into banging rivets at a rebuild company. I couldn't get pass the receptionist, She told me that Alpine was not interested in hiring me, because I was licensed. They were only interested in apprentices in YYC. I don't know if that was/is true or not. I went else where and was working 2 hours later. Don't get me wrong, I ain't slaggin the company. In all honesty, I haven't heard a negative word about Alpine nor Tasman. And as that Jailbird would say.. That's a good thing!!  Quote
Winnie Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Now BR, It was not the captain I was referring to! It was the seat in the machine, and the view! I would not mind the view... (Actually the Calendar is showing a beautiful snowcovered 407, but I'd prefer the ocean.) Quote
407 Driver Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Winnie wrote "...I'd prefer the ocean...." Well Winnie, I'll bet you can't wait until FEB....as RH says..." If I turn R to 090 and open my eyes, there should be a RIG ! You won't see an Alpine 407 until June (inset) Quote
