Vests

Hello

 

Just wondering if anybody knows where I can get my hands on that new Gator Bullet proof vest or a supplier. Or any other suggestion on a manufacturer of a light weight vest that can stop a Ak47 round. The one I fly with now wieghts a ton and is hotter than stink.

 

Suggestions, based on experience would be good.

Apparently there is a vest that is called dragon skin that will stop a 47 round. Cant find a supplier? Any help appreciated.

My only experience with flak vests in aircraft is as a passenger, but the folks at Bullet Proof Me are very helpful, and very willing to work with civilians:

be aware the Dragon-skin vest failed it's US Military trials. until that's cleared up you may want to look elsewhere. personally if I was after something to stop rifle round I'd be after a plate carrier. heavy, but your standard lightweight IIIA vest isn't going to stop a 7.62x39.
