WTF_was_that Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 I hope theres some errors in this story. http://www.gazette.com/articles/helicopter...peak-pikes.html http://www.aircamhelicopters.com/aircraft/ arm chair quarter back says..... A twinstar f1 with 4 people and 200gal fuel plus a camera. Not sure how he got off the ground, under gross weight. empty twinstar 3300lbs ish four people 800lbs ish americans camera 200lbs or more.. unless its hand held. Audi commercial, me thinks not. fuel 1200lbs full fuel 5500 lbs twinstar f1 no matter the engines 5291lbs gross weight. could have been at or under gross weight, but flying around at 13-14000ft low and slow. way way off the perfermance chart for hover in ground effect chart.... Phil Croucher Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 And even worse in an F1 if it was a warm day - if I remember right, the max perf Class 1 weight is 2100 kg. You're right - how did he get off the ground? Phil Quote
