rocksteady Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I am sorry if this was taken offensively. It was not intended that way. What I was getting at that it was instantaneous passing. With the amount of time that it took to get Search and Rescue into the actual site (over 1 day), it would have been worse if the 2 gents were alive and requiring medical attention... Once again, sorry if I have offended anyone.... Quote
kube Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Rocksteady- I totally understood your original comment and appreciated your sentiment. I am sure that when you are working on a fire line it is natural to look for some type of small blessing when a tragedy occurs. I think some blog readers are predisposed to make critical comments. Thanks for your on the ground perspective. Quote

canukav8tor Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Thoughts and prayers to Tim's and Brian's family and friends. Ironically, I saw the CBC piece on water-bombing with Tim days before the crash. It takes talent and courage to fly the bombers as close as possible to support the fire attack crews below. I have the greatest of respect and admiration for these pilots! Regards AV8 Quote
