T55 Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 It is with great sadness that I pass along this information. Wray Palmer passed away this last Sunday of cardiac complications. He had been battling cancer as well. I don't have details of any services, but will post them here when I find out. I've had the pleasure of knowing Wray for over 30 years, having first met him when I was a teeny weeny little apprentice. We would cross paths occaisionally throughout our careers. He was a straight up dude and called 'em as he seen 'em. I really enjoyed working with him and just having a BS session over coffee. He is survived by a large family which I know he was extremely close to. I'm not sure of who all Wray worked for and perhaps someone could fill in here. I know he worked for Highland and Delta Helicopters. My sincere condolences to all the family. Godspeed Wray. DA Quote

ray Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 I have nothing but the fondest memories of 'grumpy grampa'. It was my term of endearment for him. An awesome wrench, we spent time in the bush and I learned quite a bit from him. Wray was at the Alberta Government, came to Highland, went to Delta after that. My condolences to his family. Ray. I definitely trusted his honest opinion, and he was one of the best guys out there on the 206. My condolences to all the friends and family of Wray Palmer. He's probably already playing a game on the big hockey rink in the sky. Quote
