donnybrook Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 HV, Not a direct answer to the question, but I've been looking into the IF rating, too. If you want to go the cheapest way, consider doing as much of the training as possible in a nice inexpensive little fixed wing aircraft like a Cessna 150/152! I think they go for around $100/hr... Also, consider doing all of the groundschool studying yourself. There is no official groundschool requirement and it could save you a bundle... DB Quote
VERTICAL REF Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 Vibee' You never looked at the gages before - why you gonna start now? Quote
Harmonic_Vibe Posted September 17, 2004 Author Report Posted September 17, 2004 You never looked at the gages before - why you gonna start now? That's only 'cause I was distracted by the toe of the skid flying off into the infield! I've discovered, subsequently, that they come in handy. Quote
412driver Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 which infield??? so what? you want wheels now? seriously, on the westcoast i would recommend PRO IFR. john's set up is top notch  Quote
VERTICAL REF Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 Ah, the good ol' departing skid chunks... There was this one time at training camp... Quote
Harmonic_Vibe Posted September 17, 2004 Author Report Posted September 17, 2004 412: Thanks for the Pro IFR endorsement. I checked out their website and was pretty impressed. HV P.S. The infield was Edmonton... and now I know why they have the "Tennis Ball Mod" on 500 skids... It happened two years in a row doing auto's with Vertical Ref... Hmmm... maybe I see a pattern... Quote
