Seiger
Is Chief Pilot a more senior position then Director of Flight operations?
turbo-prop
Depends. The ops manager is usually the boss of day to day operations, and in most cases is higher then the chief pilot. But some places they may be equal, depending on the person

Seiger
Let me re-phrase the question.... If you were looking for a job, who is a better connection, Chief Pilot or DFO?
coastpuppy
I''d say Ops manager.
vnavcap
Every resume I sent out was addressed to the CP. However I suppose you could send one to both of them. cheers
Guest Bullet Remington
It would depend upon the company''s management structure. At WJ,, in descending order: Director of Flight Ops,and then Chief Pilot/s. The resumes are perused by the applicable type Chief pilot AND HR dept. In essence, the Director of Flight Ops is the Ops Manager. I stand to be corrected on this, anybody else want to throw in their two cents worth? Personally, were I looking for a driver job, I''d be sending to the Chief Pilot.
