Rotorboy2
New restricted airspace restrictions are going into effect in Vancouver and Whistler for the Olympics from Jan. 29th to Mar. 24th. The 30 mile airspace restrictions are going to cause headaches, with increased airspace restrictions and new security check points at all the local airports (all pilots and pax to be screened before flights). All flights must be on a VFR or IFR flight plan and at least 60 minutes prior to the flight, according to the Transport Canada website. I'm guessing it'll be alot more involved than that. Here is a graphic of the CYR airspace rings:

pilot5
So much for the Olymics giving a leg up to the Aviation industry! Unless of course you are Helijet,Blackcomb or just in the right spot with the right facilities! All the more reason to call the insurer prorata the policy and take a vacation!
