DGP Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 I wanna see you put that in a net   Quote
3BX2 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 I did 25 hrs for a World Cup race at Lk Louise about 10 years ago. Works fine, easy flying, but hard on nets and high cycles. Surprisingly, the snow does stay in nets, but do use fine-weave ones. That "Coastal Concrete Powder" will have no problem staying in a net. Quote
407driver Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 That sucks for Cypress, but one would think you could move the event for cheaper Quote
Guest plumber Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Wow the tax payers are gonna get screwed after this is all over with. Oh well at least some heli companies will get some of it. And further more figure skating is not a sport. Quote
widgeon Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Disagree ,figure skating is more of a sport than synchro swimming , rhythmic gymnastics and small bore shooting all of which are included in the summer games. But to add some excitement they should allow body checking Quote
Rotorboy2 Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I saw this on the news the other night. Wondering how a guy could get in on this.... hmmm.... Quote
Amphibious Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Why is it every time I hear news about the Olympics I become more and more ashamed of my government? VANOC deserves to be flogged. may taxpayer dollars wasted in the cause of entertainment. at lease someone will get some flight time out of it. Quote
Elvis Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 What do you suggest they do? Just say oops we ran out of snow and cancel some of the venues. Quote
Amphibious Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 would make me smile they should have never bid on the Olympics in the first place. but watching a bunch of athletes play in the snow is far more important then health care, education, unemployment, homelessness.... Quote
Elvis Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Well suck it up Amp, that boat has all readly left port. All you can hope for is that the games are a success. Quote
