Elan Head Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Hi everybody, I was just reminded that today is the two-year anniversary of the tragic ENG crash in Phoenix, Arizona. I used to fly in Phoenix and remember exactly where I was when I heard about the accident. What a sad day. My friends at a Phoenix design firm, Kitchen Sink Studios, were involved in a very interesting computer re-enactment of the crash that you can watch here: http://kitchensinkstudios.blogspot.com/ (If the link is no longer current, it's the July 23, 2009 entry.) Although it's difficult to watch, I think this technology has a lot of potential as a tool for training and accident investigation, beyond the legal purposes to which this particular re-enactment was put. RIP. Elan Quote
dimit Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Hard to watch, indeed, and at the same time morbidly fascinating. Thanks for the link (I think...). Dick Quote

06HeliMAN Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 I think "memorial" would be a better word than "anniversary" Elan Head. Quote
