splitpin Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Sort of sounds to me like Jullita has to get laid. Not that there is anything wrong with that..... Quote
Amphibious Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 maybe someone should invite her up to bunk with the riggers? see how long she lasts? Quote
Black Mike Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 I guess she hasn't heard the "Lumberjack song" by Monty Python from many years ago!! Anyone else remember? B.M. Quote
vortex Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Yeaaahh....that's pretty much all the riggers and fallers I've worked with. Quote
Mark_ Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Just caught the show for the first time...great stuff. I would have liked to see more helicopters of course...maybe a camera riding in the machine with the sound tied into the coms. Still a great show...those climbers sure have my respect. I did like the quick shot of a 500 verticalling into a confined. Mark Quote
chpprlggr Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 what a freakin joke this show is. heli-loggers are the ground crews who hook and rig turns beneath choppers(and the chasers). Pilots who have to put a hook in a guys hand on a steep hillside and work a turn out without damaging the worker or wood. Clossen makes himself out to be the big man behind the operation, now thats a laugh. There was a much bigger company bankrolling things and had way more expertise than Gord will ever have. Bunch off overacting fallers and climbers. Great scenery and choppers though. Quote
Elvis Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 The general TV viewers could care less, I am sure there as many items in the Deadly Catch show about the Bearing Sea crab boats as well that a true crab fisherman would roll his eyes at as well. Quote

As we are grapple (conventional) and standing stem only, he truly is, in the heli-logging category in our books. Quote
