Bratt
Anyone able to give me some insight on what is normally required to be a company training pilot. Rumor has it there may be a opening with a small operator in southern BC, my time and experience (lack of) may preclude me from applying. Thanks, The Bratt
deuce bigalow
This might be one of those "if ya have to ask" questions. Generally you don't want to be training unless you are reallycomfortable with emergencys. As the training gimp you will be the guy everyone will ask questions about flying and type and unless you like being embarassed you will have to know your s#it. You will also be the guy that signs off everyone for the PPC. So if the guy screws the pooch its your fault (sometimes). Also there is a curious lack of specific training and requirements for this position. I personaly believe there should be an in depth course for company training pilots as there is for check pilots. Just because someone is good at something doesn't mean he can teach it.
Banoy
The legal requirements are laid out in the Standards 722.76(3). This is for Aerial work but Air Taxi is pretty much the same... click hereTraining Pilot Qualifications
