sweet...my point was finally recognised...you can never unify this industry, I know that, everyone knows that...so what's the point of HEPAC again? if you can't speak with the same voice on issues, associations are pointless....

The point of HEPAC is an association being built on education (federal funding pending), training and mentorship. Also medical, dental and life insurance for those that have none. A lot of people, including companies see the merit in the concept.

There was never an attempt to "unify" and or speak for the morons in the industry

HeliLog, I can say with absolute certainty that HEPAC is a worthwhile concept who time has come. Benefits are a definate PLUS. Speaking as someone who has spent the better part of my adult life working in the industry I will have to disagree with the second point you make about speaking on behalf of the morons. Considering the vast number of said morons, HEPAC speaking on thier behalf would be a huge step in the right direction. Although I understand that it is not the primary macro cause of HEPAC to do so it should be considered in the future.

Several issues come to mind that would improve the industry, below are 3.

1. Education or at least a petition to TC that managers in the Industry have some formal training in Aviation/People Management. There are several courses available at several adult learning centers in Canada, like "Boundries at the Work Place" and " Basic Employee Management" It is a forgone conclusion that these types of courses would help put the word professional back into the Industry. What we have today is basicaly Hill Billy management at most companies. Not all but most.

2. A location or website geared directly towards keeping accuate and publically available stats on active-inactive, licence holders, so that HRDC can have current and accurate Industry data from which to formulate Labor market information. For both pilots and engineers.

3. A resource guide for members and industry participants that deals with labour code issues, regulatory compliance and legal resources for those effected. It is after all different if you are working in a federally regulated industry, Vs Other jobs .

But all in all, I wish you and the boys at HEPAC the very best in the quest.

Hey Deuce!

Just finished a test flight and was hanging around waitin' for the Engineeroids to finish up and I thought I'd see if anything new was happenin' here but I see it's still the same old, same old and you're still hanging out with the November Whiskeys?

Beware of the Dog!!!

Yeah but it is entertaining. The NW factor is getting out of hand though. When are you back in country?

Put the lid back on the glue pot and move into a more well ventilated room. Didn't you have too change your Tag once before cause your typing hand was way faster than your brain.

You are every 100hr guys dream person to be after in a job interview.
