happyfeet Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Whats the deal with the Calgary police position seems like alot of turnover?? What gives?? Quote
AH1 Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Posted November 13, 2008 .....a question that you'd think would be on the the City Councils mind as well, but it's not. They are happy with the status quo, and believe all is well, no offical concern is expressed. CPS lives and flys in their own world, all we collectively share is airspace. Their over the top qulaification requirments keep out the common riff-raff. Ask them the date of their last offical IFR flight was, and why. ( You need it shadowing stolen cars). They prefer military pilots because they fit the genre better, and they usually have the tech qualifications. All you really need is a night endorsment, though, but they will argue like crazy about their specialized needs. What they really need is a helicopter (they have 2) that isn't leaking fuel all the time, and is available to fly a lot more than it does. Yes, why indeed do they have a high turnover. Maybe they'll tell us, but I bet they won't. Quote
happyfeet Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Come now AH, it must be the regular pilots with bad attitudes, No way its mgmt. perhaps they are not all that different from the rest of the herd. Hmm Hmm. Quote
