helidude
Poor judgement on Prisms behalf is all i can say...... Don't know if you've ever had first hand experience with a helicopter accident but I can tell you that the last thing on Prism's mind was contacting any other operators working in the proximity. They had much bigger issues to deal with.

Well i dont know if youve ever come up on the wreckage of a an aircraft strewn all over the side of a glacier before but it sure makes your heart sink. And i defiantely wasnt thinking about myself at the time i can tell you that.Maybe i'm wrong and they did the right thing by not telling anyone. helidude
It's not so much that they purposely didn't tell anyone, it's more like they had way more important company matters to deal with than to worry about other operators knowing about the accident. Besides, the way the rumor mill turns in this business, it's amazing you didn't find out through word of mouth within a half hour of the incident. I don't know anyone or anything about Prism by the way. I'm just speculating and prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Guest Angry Egg Driver
Hahaha...no doubt about the rumor mill....
cjg
It would be a heck of a shocker to stumble across any aircraft down. However, I can't think of any reason why an operator would call everyone and there dog to tell them about it; other than for search and rescue. I would say it's nobody's business but their own!!!!!!!! cjg
Guest Angry Egg Driver
Never said for them to tell everyone and their dog....Just the 2 camps that were in the neighborhood.Whatever....just glad that everyone was okay... rotorheadrob
They've had enough to do lately, calling VIH is probably not high on there list. My thoughts go out to all at Prism! I find some of the previous comments a little offensive, considering what everyone at prism has been through lately! Rob
cjg
I agree with RHR. Glad to hear everyone is O.K. I don't work for them but I would be offended by some of the comments simply because you have no insight of whats going on. cjg
