Gary Watson
The Alberta Weather Modification program is underway again. Starting June 1 and running until Sept 15 it consists of a numebr of FW a/c at Olds and Springbank that carry out cloud seeding to reduce hail propagation. Part of their operation consists of a private weather radar site and the information is published in real time on the internet at: http://www.weathermod.com/projects/hail/alberta.php So if you are interested in seeing the weather within a 150 km range of the Olds/ Didsbury Airport give it a look. You may not use it for complete weather info prior to flying but it sure gives you a good idea if the golf course you are going to play is being washed out. They also run similar programs in N Dakota and Texas but both seem to be shut down at the moment. GW
