skullcap Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Ha ha, your name and your comments are so typical of the dog crap that surrounds this story. Here boy here boy,,,now sit, stay,,,,good boy. Quote
Biggles Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Before I get a good b*tch slap upside my head, yes, I know "hypocritical" is written with a "Y" not an "I", a typo is what it was and no edit button to fix it. Interesting Skullcap, I like how you write ! Quote
transquebecniece Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 No offense, Old Dog, but first-post "hit and runs" are the epitomy of inaneness, empty of meaning or sense. If you're trying to draw Mr. J out again to defend himself, that's just nasty. Welcome to Verticalmag, by the way. Practice civility and random acts of kindness. Quote
Helilog56 Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Do any of you seriously think that the HAC board is that **** dumb? And do you think it was only about moose-meat? Get a grip! Your inane comments amaze me. You guys are dumber than dog poop, jeez! Now here is a first post that speaks volumes of the type of person that just "barks" with class and finess. Quote
Skidz Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Oh well, no need for moderator intervention here... Quote
cap Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Old Dog ------ on a particular afternoon in April of 1970, an a/c crashed into the MacKenizie River, in front of the Mackenzie Mountain Lodge in Normal Wells, NWT. The pilot of that a/c didn't get out amongst the huge ice-cakes inthe river at that time and he drowned. One Stanley Knowles, a well-known CBC reporter of the day, called the pilot's wife at the pilot's home in Winnipeg to have a brief interview with her concerning her husband's passing. The pilot's wife was preganant and when he made his call, she had no idea that her husband had crashed and died 48 hours before. She fainted upon receiving his call with that information, resulting in a miscarriage hours later. It turns out that the pilot mentioned did indeed crash, but he did not die as a result or even have a scratch on him. He had no idea that he was 'supposed' to be dead according to the national newscaster and assorted other media as a result. He was unable to call his wife until three days had passed and learned then that she was in hospital and they had lost their unborn son. Two years later, they were awarded a $280,000 lawsuit by the courts against CBC and also received a long letter of apology from Mr. Al Johnson, the CEO of CBC at that time. That pilot mentioned above was ME. You got FACTS...share them with us. Otherwise the days of hiding in anonymity on some website and spouting 'verbal diarrhea' with impunity from lawyers, lawsuits and courts has been gone for some time now............and be prepared to proove those FACTS also. transquebecniece Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 my intellectual mind is blah, blah, blah....HARHARHAR i just don't see the relevance of that story to old dogs post. but whatever....i guess sensationalism works in mysterious ways Pay attention, TwistedStupor: There's a huge difference between sensationalism in the media and reporting credible facts, whether in the media or a public forum. Erroneous and self-serving speculation causes undue harm to people. Pffft. Even a blonde knows that! Sorry, Cap. Did not know that. Hugs for you and Missus V. Quote
