  1. Does anyone know where you can get an FAA medical done in the Toronto area?
  2. Did he use to fly for Delta in the late 90s?
  3. I don't like it when my co pilot doesn't bring my coffee
  4. What wasn't heard.... "Y'all come back next week,now heah? We'll give you a 10 percent discount!"
  5. We had a B model destroy itself on the ground years ago. The star was also destroyed in the process. I flew it on the prior flights away from base on a remote site, and in the pre-flights was noticing a growing tear in a frequency adapter, and degredation of the spherical bearings. On one landing I got into ground resonance and returned the helicopter to base. I got the usual "I've seen a lot worse" upon reporting the issue, and on the subsequent start up with another pilot the incident occured. I have flown Astars and Dauphins with dressed or scalloped cracked stars that never gave any trouble or degraded further. How was the condition of the elastomers of that machine? Also, I once had new heel springs installed where the bolts weren't torqued, and that caused ground resonance.
  6. OK Neville in fairness to you and your reply I've deleted my post, but I do expect follow up.
  7. Oops sorry I though I was on caaviation, not just helicopters............

  9. My goodness - things that bad?!?! What could a fella with 212/412/350/365/44/22/206 with 4000+hours expect to make in Canada nowadays? Canadian, US and International ICAO licences
  10. Hey #### - no problem.......... Will that be Visa or Mastercard?
  11. Once while flying gas operators around N.Alberta a wind storm blew up that flipped a Cessna 185. We were at the Wolverine camp and decided to get the R22 back to Bison under shelter. As I popped up in the hover the ASI read 60 knots - we did 138 gs heading home!! Out here in the Caribbean - 190 in the Dauphin.
  12. After my first bear scare it was this with 00 and slugs oh crap how do you do this photo thing
