  1. 70k for 3-4 months? Not too bad really. Or is that for the whole year?
  2. Roger on that, thanks for the pointer!
  3. All I see on the GofC Surplus Auction website is 1986 King Air C90A Aircraft - C-FGXG
  4. You should have met some of the Pilots I have worked with over the years. LOL. Most were actually fairly good, but there were a few real winners too.
  5. I got a bit quick hitting the enter button before I was finished...there was the CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Alert issued on 18 July, however that's really advisory information, not carrying the weight of an Airworthiness Directive. And issued quite late and slowly IMHO likely due to all the calls and noise from Industry to TC wondering what the heck is/was going on.
  6. Transport Canada has the ability and responsibility to issue EMERGENCY AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES!! Case in point in 2021 when on June 28th the Main Rotor Hub Strap Pin failed in flight on the YHL 212 killing Heath Coleman! Look up CF-2021-23 (effective 5 July 2021) - applicability to Bell 212, 204B, 205A-1, and 205B. Now I don't know where the difference lies in that event (Pin failure) or this one where the Main Rotor Hub Strap failed as far as issueing an AD!! EMERGENCY AD should have been issued within a few days as the evidence of the Strap failure was very clear!! TC in this case appears to meet a lot of the negative connotations noted previously!! NOT A WORD OUT OF THEM!!!
  7. You forgot the AME's!
  8. Schedules generally worked good. Two on two off or three on two off. Once in a while last minute crisis came up but not too often.
  9. Not PRM, and you?
  10. And you?
  11. Yes
  12. Husband and Wife ownership does bring challenges, and most or a lot of companies have both good and not so good times. However I would suggest that Vortex Helicopters may only be horrible if you aren't able to deliver an excellent product/skillset (whether flying or maintenance), give a solid work day with good attitude, and be able to professionally speak with the owners. Yes, the expectations "on the crews is high"; with the expectations "of the crews being high" is met as evidenced by the machines which are very well maintained, and the pay is very good.
  13. It looks like spam has taken over
  14. Strap Failure Pic...believed to be Airwolf
  15. Yup, TT Strap failure!!
