To those of you who have gone before, I'd love to hear your experiences. I'm an avid helicopter enthusiast but am not part of the industry. Is Heli Expo something I'd enjoy, or is it pretty much for industry members only? I'm trying to decide soon so I can buy the tickets at a lower price.
I recall seeing a short clip of an Air America pilot who dove out of his Bell right before it ditched into the ocean. Fortunately he wasn't injured, and it was certainly amazing to watch.
I looked up Mi-24's in the N-Number lookup section at faa.gov and look what I found:

Check out their mission statement, it's pretty interesting, IMO.
I took these pictures week or two ago at Brandywine Airport (N99). This S76B arrived while I was inside, but I came outside as soon as I heard it land. It taxied over to the small terminal, shut down, refueled, and then took off again.
You might have already read it, Splitpin, but there is an interesting book called Rescue Pilot by Dan McKinnon. McKinnon was a US Navy pilot who flew the HUP 2 in the late 1950's. I really enjoyed the book, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the early years of helicopter service.
Thanks for those pics of the B4, Ktown, they made my day. The second one of the B4 is my new desktop background. Frequently when there's a "photo from the field" that I want to use as my background, it's too small, but these are great! Thank you!!
