  1. Robottxt is correct. I have not done medium fire in 5 years…. I contracted and basically went for about 4hr mins=1K, an 8hr= 2K. 400 a day and 200 an hour was good as it gave me $1200 on a 4 hour min, and still 2k for an 8. 400 hours is a great season, 150 means itchy ban all winter. It’s a real hit and miss, some summers was 90k, others 35k. After all said and done, it was not worth it. Away all summer, because you need the days, and broke all winter. Then on top that, working for the worst human being I have ever known, never again.
  2. Maybe they will be replacing them with UH-60’s…. 🫢
  3. Set your altimeter and keep note of which way it moves, like a barometer. Never go out not prepared to spend the night. I don’t push it now, many years ago I did, spent the night in a jet box cuddling up with the battery in my sleeping bag north of Baker Lake. Horrible experience, but at least I was on the ground wishing I was in the air than in the air wishing I was on the ground.
  4. Time to get over it buddy.
  5. Sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to hear more. Very good crew working there, thinking of you all, sending strength.
  6. BUMP, Lest we Forget, because I sure have not. 14,000 views PT.
  7. No, it’s been awhile, It took a few months to decide if I should post on Vertical, but with it shutting down it’s now or never. I can’t stand that he walks around thinking he gets away with that, home-wrecking a family, and a loyal person working for him, it ain’t right. Luckily my wife and I have worked through it, but I can’t say many marriages would do that, maybe it’s the 20 years together. Time to be accountable, after all he is the accountable executive. Lowest thing a man can do, absolute coward.
  8. lol, thanks for the laugh! I needed that! fly safe.
  9. I must say, thank you for the overwhelming support. One of the difficult emotions I struggle with, is the effect it will have on the staff. I choose to not name the company, as the staff there was the best I have ever had the pleasure to work with in almost 2 decades of flying. I am calling out one individual, David vs Goliath. My wife and I have worked this out long ago, and I respect her for telling me the truth, as she has never done anything like this before. At a certain point one must draw a line in the sand and speak up. I refuse to allow this person to “ sweep it under the rug and carry on” I will not resort violence, slagging, or threatening anyone or anything, as much as the thought of that gives me pleasure. I just have the simple truth, and the truth deserves to be told. Karma will take it from there.
  10. What would you do if the owner/accountable executive took your wife of 15 years to his townhouse, got drunk and slept with her while you were out flying 8’s in his 212? 5 years I worked for this snake. Our families were friends, our kids were friends, we were friends. Completely behind my back, he slithered into the centre of my family and took my wife while I was out making him rich. Three weeks prior to this event, I sat in that very same townhouse and listened to him give me relationship advice. The best toast at a Christmas party: “This gathering is for all you hard working people, but most of all it’s for the wives that endured the summer with their husbands away, I thank you all” The level of absolute, deceit and disgustingness is inconceivable. Thanks for destroying my life PT. I am calling you out, and I do not remotely accept your pathetic emailed apology where you try to tell me “good people make mistakes, make errors is judgment” You are the farthest thing possible from a good person.
  11. Anybody have a good life insurance lead?
  12. Some countries won’t accept digital copies if you go over seas. I remember people transcribing years of hours into log books to submit for a licensing.
  13. Well set in stone is not possible, if its zero zero on crew change days, it is what it is. Alpine and Ascent have been doing 2/2 for years now, and Blackcomb has been doing for a couple years now. It is possible, and it is done. I was asking if people know any other companies that follow suit. I am not looking to get into a Vertical Forum toxic debate.
