Troubles for the Cyclone continue...
Blackmac replied to twinstar_ca's topic in Military and Coast Guard Ops
The above posts say it all, DND has no oversight by the Canadian Taxpayers in any way. Parliament is supposed to have oversight over DND on behalf of the taxpayer, HA, HA. I personally call our supposed representatives (MPs) The Blame Club. DND is allocated a budget and then all the chiefs of staff get together and figure out who gets what to spend and to whom. Normally a Procurement is sent to the procurement department with a Scope of Work, that is usually wrong and is followed by numerous amendments. Once the type of requirement is identified and an RFP is issued, to replace the Sikorsky S-61, Sikorsky/DND comes up with bright idea to use the the new S92 that is on the market, and available, BUT, it would have to be modified to military configuration. Work required as carried out originally by the S-61 was submarine chasing using sonobuoy and stationary listening with vertical cable. The Military (CYCLONE) could not accommodate all the equipment DND wanted, to actually carry. SO, DND/SIKORSKY, with the taxpayers money, decided to update the S92, with wireless control, updated and more powerful engines and god knows what else that was not required. DND is the worst run departement run by the government and needs to be taken to task. Lifelong military personal don't have reality in mind, especially the higher ups. How we got this far with the people running the country and the Patronage, God Only Knows. Good Luck. Every Department Should Have an oversight committee with POWER. -
Its to bad StupidSon doesn't get a shot between the ears might wake him up and quit making sarcastic comments. You can quit the postings anytime or just quit posting period, you wont be missed. Your Mother must have accidently dropped you on your head when she seen what an ugly attitude you have, crying all the time for no reason. GET A LIFE. Why people tolerate you on this on site, I sure don't understand. You don't contribute anything worthwhile, only contradict, other peoples posts and stir up the pot. Try and be NICE and positive or go and see a Psychiatrist, you need it.

There is a possibility that you were inoculated when you were younger and do not remember, for whatever was going around then. You do not have to get the "jab", but you are putting everybody you come in contact with, in jeopardy. Including your family. REMEMBER, nobody gets out of this world alive. Your Super Powers show up when you get the JAB, be smart. Personally with my age, I have had hundreds of jabs for international travel, blood tests, spinal taps and COVID- 2 jabs, will be getting a Booster jab shortly. Regards, Don

The Vertical forums are meant to provide for open discussion and dialogue. However, recently certain individuals' posts have sunk to all-time lows. This includes the impersonation of other individuals and fraud. In one case an individual went so far as to post a fake job listing for a company, and impersonate the individual that works at this company. This is libelous and will not be tolerated. We continue to investigate these posts. The individual(s) WILL BE identified and their names and contact details provided to company lawyers for further action. Vertical originated from Canadian Aviation were dialogue allowed people to comment on aviation related subjects. Companies and individuals in the Industry were a NO-GO. I believe whole heartedly that a person should have to post their registered name, and be accountable for what they POST. Maybe that way we can get rid of the BS....., including H-A-C, the cause of screwing up the industry$$$$$$ Donald J McDougall

""Ordering a Pizza in 2021"" CALLER: Is this Pizza Delight? GOOGLE: No sir, it's Google Pizza. CALLER: I must have dialed a wrong number. Sorry. GOOGLE: No sir, Google bought Pizza Delight last month. CALLER: OK. I would like to order a pizza. GOOGLE: Do you want your usual, sir? CALLER: My usual? You know me? GOOGLE: According to our caller ID data sheet, the last 12 times you called you ordered an extra-large pizza with three cheeses, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and meatballs on a thick crust. CALLER: OK! That’s what I want ... GOOGLE: May I suggest that this time you order a pizza with ricotta, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes and olives on a whole wheat gluten-free thin crust. CALLER: What? I detest vegetable! GOOGLE: Your cholesterol is not good, sir. CALLER: How the **** do you know! GOOGLE: Well, we cross-referenced your home phone number with your medical records. We have the result of your blood tests for the last 7 years. CALLER: Okay, but I do not want your rotten vegetable pizza! I already take medication for my cholesterol. GOOGLE: Excuse me sir, but you have not taken your medication regularly. According to our database, you purchased only a box of 30 cholesterol tablets once, at Drug RX Network, 4 months ago. CALLER: I bought more from another drugstore. GOOGLE: That doesn’t show on your credit card statement. CALLER: I paid in cash. GOOGLE: But you did not withdraw enough cash according to your bank statement. CALLER: I have other sources of cash. GOOGLE: That doesn’t show on your last tax return unless you bought them using an undeclared income source, which is against the law. CALLER: WHAT THE ****! GOOGLE: I'm sorry, sir, we use such information only with the sole intention of helping you. CALLER: Enough already! I'm sick to death of Google, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and all the others. I'm going to an island without internet, cable TV, where there is no cell phone service and no one to watch me or spy on me. GOOGLE: I understand sir, but you need to renew your passport first. It expired 6 weeks ago...

https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/12/28/2020-28385/airworthiness-directives-sikorsky-aircraft-corporation-helicopters A long read, but worth the time, possibly an answer to the modified S92 operated by DND, stress on the tail boom in the tight turn for landing. Only the Shadow Knows and the idiot that requested a fly by. Don

Truth hurts, get sometime in. You dont seem to be doing much flying as you have more time telling people on this site how great you are and how stupid every every one else is. You do not provide anything worth while to this site, so take some time off and get an ULTRA SOUND to see if there is an actual brain working and all the brain cells are really functioning, from what you are posting they dont seem to be. Get help and possibly you can become a good person. Cheers and say hello to the Doc and tell him I sent you. We will communicate again when you are better.

This for Super Pilot,(in his own mind) seems to have pedophile tendencies. If you are so smart and able to do anything, as a legend in your own mind, why not do the following: Assuming the loggers take their lunch with them, why not load sleeping bags on board, and should the weather get worse, they can stay overnight. That way, should the weather be clear, the next day you can safely go and pick them up with out any problem. Watching your video from takeoff to landing you were over water most of the time, should you have an engine out, you would have all drowned. Then the investigation begins, the lawyers just love something like that. Company goes bankrupt and the insurance company wont pay any thing and your estate is sued for negligence. Have you ever heard of RISK MANAGEMENT. I pushed weather when I am the only one on board. Passengers are liabilities.

This paragraph is as old as me (86). I had a customer on a production job say I was OK but then proceeded to tell me about the fastest most talented pilot he ever had doing the job. I asked the customer why isn't that guy flying you now, his response... "well he crashed and killed himself flying". In questionable weather and haze that you can get in the summer months, you should not be any more than 500 ft. AGL, that will give you an out, to do a quick stop and reverse course. I personally got caught in that situation and almost flew into a thunderstrom. Landed, waited and then proceeded. It is a good idea to practice smooth quick stops with out manhandling the A/C. Donnot at any time take comments or pressure from the company, the client or any passenger with any thing about your flying ability. Remember, everybody on board is counting on your ability to get were they wish to go, SAFELY. YOU ARE NOT ONLY THE CAPTAIN,YOU ARE THE BOSS AND DECISION MAKER,COME **** OR HIGH WATER

Hi , whoever you are. I had spent the last three months with the Doc in the Ogaden Desert (Godie) vacinating the people and kids as required, I even gave vacinations myself, put the serum on the shoulder and prick it into the skin with a needle. The grown ups were no problem, the children developed large scabs on their arms and very few survived from lack of nutrition. I also went into Somalia to a mountain hideaway called Ei KERE to rescue a bunch of nurses who needed help. Once back in Addiss, Jean Paul took of for Paris and I followed later and met him there and he told me that he was being credited with giving the last inoculation, but WHO would have to wait three years before making any annoucement. The only reason I mentioned Ottawa region was Viking was the origin of the crews, who came from everywhere. Cheers, Don

ck 1 Pandemic (S) 11:08 PM DONALD MCDOUGALL To Editor- North Grenville Times Dear Editor, People, including myself, have probably done some research on the above subject. World Health Organization, recently released a paper congratulating themselves on a job well done on the 40th anniversary of the elimination of SMALLPOX. This was announced by the same individual who neglected to advise the world of the Corona Virus that was killing people in China at the beginning of January 2020, nice guy and still has a JOB, so nice of the CORRUPT United Nations. Viking Helicopters from the Ottawa area had a contract with WHO thru the United Nations to provide helicopter transportation in all of Ethiopia down to Somalia and Djibouti which included the Ogaden Desert and an airstript at Godie. WHO commemorates the 40th anniversary of smallpox eradication Historic milestone underscores urgent need to invest in global health security and universal health coverage 13 December 2019 News release Geneva, Switzerland Reading time:1 min(373 words)العربية中文FrançaisРусскийEspañol The World Health Organization commemorated the 40th anniversary of smallpox eradication today, recognizing the historic moment on 9 December 1979 when the end of smallpox was confirmed to have been eradicated. Five months later, in May 1980, the 33rd World Health Assembly issued its official declaration that ‘the world and all its peoples have won freedom from smallpox’. A plaque marking the end of a scourge that had afflicted millions for thousands of years was unveiled at WHO headquarters in Geneva in the very same meeting room where, four decades earlier, the 19 members of the Global Commission for the Certification of Smallpox Eradication certified that smallpox had been eradicated from the world. Speaking at the event attended by country representatives, UN representatives and WHO staff who worked on smallpox, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “Today, smallpox is the only human disease ever eradicated, a testimony to what we can achieve when all nations work together. “When it comes to epidemic disease, we have a shared responsibility and a shared destiny. With this plaque, we commemorate the heroes around the world who came together to fight smallpox and worked to keep future generations safe." Until it was wiped out, smallpox had plagued humanity for at least 3000 years, killing 300 million people in the 20th century alone. The last known endemic case of smallpox was reported and the outbreak promptly contained in Somalia in 1977. The successful smallpox eradication programme yielded vital knowledge and tools for the field of disease surveillance, the benefits of ring vaccination and the importance of health promotion in fighting diseases such as poliomyelitis and the Ebola virus. It also laid the foundation for stronger national immunization programmes worldwide, underpinning the establishment of primary health care in many countries and creating momentum toward Universal Health Coverage. Today’s commemoration kicks off a year-long campaign in which WHO and partners will mark the eradication of smallpox and raise awareness about the need to continue the fight against polio and other diseases and accelerate investments in global health security. A smallpox eradication exhibition will be unveiled at the World Health Assembly in May 2020 and is expected to travel to other events, including the United Nations General Assembly in New York. I just thought that people in the Ottawa area would acknowlege the people from the region who flew over there on behalf of mankind and got shot at for doing so. Dr Lean-Paul Ryst was credited with vaccinating the last Smallpox person from Somalia and flew back with me to Addiss Abba. Don McDougall

You should have taken the Airbus course that Johnson took and found out if you liked it or not. https://www.verticalmag.com/features/taking-control-airbus-non-pilot-emergency-landing-training-course/?utm_source=vertical-daily-news-top-story&utm_campaign=vertical-daily-news&utm_medium=email&utm_term=top-story&utm_content=V1 I wonder how good the course is with single pilot controls and only two seats in the front of say a B206 or Astar 350, and why the landing under ideal condition on an airport runway, I would have used the grass on the side of the runway, easier sliding. As far as I am concerned it's just a gimmick proposed by AirBus and totally useless. How often does an emergency happen over an airport. The only people that would use that course are the ones it was sold too, and even then an emergency under any conditions, requires a qualified pilot to handle. MOST EMERGENCY DO NOT HAPPEN UNDER IDEAL CONDITIONS. I wonder what safety manager thought of this scenario!!!!!!!

I guess I made a similar mistake, by questioning the the reasoning behind Elan Head article on spatial disorientation, great article which is normally taken in kindergarten, it sounded more like she was trying to justify the stupidity of his actions, which resulted in the crash. If people would only use common sense instead of the I am the GOD principle and I can do anything. FUNNY the comment was never posted, which is not the first time. Whats UP.

ICAO is at it again, worldwide organization of NumSkulls, they couldn't organize a party in a brewery with all the booze being Free, no wonder the AirLines are going out of Business. ICAO is supposed to supply oversite on the industry, but in my estimation, they leave one **** of a lot to be desired, including not closing the airspace over IRAN. ICAO is a useless arm of the UN, which should be abolished. There is nothing but DICTATORS running the assembly, who for some unknown reason don't believe in DEMOCRACY. For your information I am adding a gem taken from another source for your info!!!!!!! https://www.avweb.com/aviation-news/pakistan-international-report-unstabilized-approach-poor-communication/?MailingID=377 United Nations was formed after the Second World War and has created most of the problems we are having now. Maybe we should have come home to our own part of the continent, and got on with life as we knew it. I am waiting for some one to come up with answer, the BS is getting to be. much.
